Inland Lakes football eyeing extended playoff run

INDIAN RIVER – The Inland Lakes football program has plenty to look forward to this fall as it enters its final season in the Ski Valley Conference.

On the heels of making back-to-back postseason appearances for only the second time in school history, Inland Lakes is relying on a big senior class this year in hopes of making an extended playoff run.

"We’re really excited about our depth,” Inland Lakes coach Stand Schramn said. “We have 25 solid kids, which in a small school that’s great, and they all put in a lot of hard work in the weight room, so we’re pleased with our depth. These seniors have been hard working since they were freshmen and we’re a senior-oriented team with a lot of experience, playing time and a lot of starters coming back from last year.”

The Bulldogs open their season on Aug. 27, hosting East Jordan.
