Summer may be starting to wind down, but there's no shortage of fun to be had in Northern Michigan.

Michigan folk singer and one of the top three contestants from the voice, Joshua Davis is holding his .

It’s happening Thursday at the Interlochen Center for the Arts.

Davis, from Traverse City, is a singer-songwriter.

Raised in the folk tradition, he writes songs that combine the roots of American music with rock and roll and vintage soul.

The concert begins at 8.

And looking ahead to next week, Charlevoix's Castle Farms is holding an

They'll enjoy looking for gnomes in the enchanted forest, finding butterflies in the butterfly garden and hunting through the hedge maze.

This event takes place on Wednesday, August 19 starting at 11 a.m. and running through 3 p.m.

Chances are it will be one of the most beautiful runs you'll ever do.

You can run a half marathon, 10K or 5K on the Saturday of Labor Day.

The beautiful course offers variety, excellent surfaces and just a few gentle hills.
