Vietnam Memorial Arrives In Northern Michigan

The Michigan Vietnam Veteran Traveling Memorial made its way to Northern Michigan.

Seventy three motorcycles escorted the Memorial Wall into Montcalm County before the opening ceremony.

The memorial is now set up at the Stanton American Legion Post.

The wall has the names of the Michigan men and one woman who died during the Vietnam War.

There is also a display of Medal of Honor recipients, as well as books with pictures of some of those who fought.

Everyone is invited to come out and honor those who sacrificed their lives in Vietnam.

“We were the lucky ones that came back. These guys here, they didn't make it back, so anything we can do to honor these guys is what we wanna do.”

The Memorial Wall is open to the public tomorrow from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
