Military Recruiting Stations Will Receive Security Upgrades

The U.S. Military is outlining upgrades for recruiting stations, reserve centers and other facilities following a deadly shooting in Chattanooga.

A military spokesman says the new measures will increase vigilance and sustain security of military personnel and facilities.

The spokesman wouldn't go into more detail Monday in order to protect operational security.

Thursday's shooting lead to governors in at least six states to authorize National Guardsmen to take up arms to protect recruiting offices and installations.
