Cadillac Home Invasion Suspect Threatens Man, Demands to Smoke Marijuana

Police say a drunk with a knife went into someone's home and demanded to smoke marijuana with him.

Cadillac police say the man walked into a house on East Mason Street in just before 3:00 a.m. this Wednesday morning.

Police say the suspect knew someone living in the home, but when he got inside he didn't find his friend.

Instead, he found another man sleeping on the couch, and police say he pulled out a knife.

“The man entered the home with was wielding a knife and immediately demanded that the suspect was going to smoke with him so the man tried to start reason with hi m a little bit and had him calmed down. When the suspect let his guard down and set the knife away that's when the victim grabbed the knife and bolted out of the house.”

The victim escaped to a neighbor's house and called police.

When police arrived, they found the suspect had fallen to the bottom of a hill.

He will be charged with home invasion, obstructing police, and for violating his parole.
