Nonprofit To Fund Drone Training Center at Detroit Airport
A California-based nonprofit is planning to invest up to $1 million in a Detroit airport.
Base 11 is investing the money to fund a drone training center at the city's Coleman A. Young International Airport.
The project includes renovating two hangar bays and provide full equipment.
Students from Detroit's Davis Aerospace Technical High School will be offered classes.
Details are still being finalized, but the project is expected to launch this fall.
