Feedback at 5:00: Volunteer Cruises
Carnival Corporation recently announced a new cruise brand dedicated to taking people on volunteer trips.
The first trip will be 7-days long, making its way to the Dominican Republic next April.
Passengers will get orientation, basic Spanish lessons and training while on the ship.
They can choose from activities like teaching English or building water filters in parts of the country.
Travel experts say this could be a good way to get new types of people to take the trips, but there is a price.
Tickets start at a little more than $1,500 a person.
That includes a cabin, all meals and three on-shore activities related to volunteering.
For tonight's Feedback at 5:00 we want to know, is this a type of trip you would consider taking.
Why or why not?
