Manistee National Forest Festival Kicks Off This Week

Manistee County is bustling this week…the National Forest Festival starts Thursday.

The four-day festival celebrates all that is Manistee County.

From the forest to the beaches, with carnival rides and art fairs — the festival draws tens of thousands of people each year.

There will be live music every night and a parade and fireworks show on the Fourth of July.

The chamber of commerce says it's an event people look forward to every year.

It's all about just bringing people to our community to celebrate the Manistee National Forest Fest, Independence Day and just have a community-wide event to bring in tourism, promote local business," said Manistee County Chamber of Commerce director Stacie Bytwork.

The festival has events through the weekend.
