Northwestern Michigan College Tuition Rises

Northwestern Michigan College students will be paying a little more for their tuition.

The Board of Trustees raised the credit hour rate for in-district students from $90.90 to $96.35.

The rate for out-of-district students jumped $10.80 to $190.80.

The additional money will allow the college to set it aside for new projects.

“The extra money is going towards facility upgrades for capital projects related to, we’re looking at renovating the Osterlin Library, that’s one of our first projects,” says Vicki Cook, VP of Finance and Administration. “We also know we are upgrading the student center, and then we are also looking at housing.”

The new tuition rates start on July 1, 2015.
