UPDATE: Man Pleads Guilty to Charlevoix Armed Robbery

One of the two men accused of an armed robbery at a gas station has pleaded guilty.

The EZ-Mart gas station at the corner of M-66 and US-31 in Charlevoix was robbed in March of 2013 and again last December.

Today Dennis McKee pleaded guilty to a reduced charge of larceny from a person. He admitted to robbing the Charlevoix gas station with another person in March of 2013.

Mathew DeNise is also charged on the same robbery.

When the same gas station was robbed again in 2014, McKee said he planned to rob it again with Trevor Blackwell. He testified saying he changed his mind and Blackwell robbed the store alone.

Blackwell’s trial is set to start in September.
