Mount Sinabung Eruption Covers Sky Over Indonesia

A new powerful burst from Mount Sinabung spewed clouds of searing gas high into the sky over Indonesia.

Authorities say they’re closely monitoring the volcano on the Island of Sumatra.

Since it was placed at the highest alert level last week.

It’s been shooting smoke and ash up more than 16-hundred feet into air since Monday.

Mount Sinabung is one of more than 130 active volcanoes in Indonesia.
