CMU’s Main Administration Building Still Closed Due to Asbestos

The main administration building at Central Michigan University will remain closed for now because of asbestos.

Crews are expanding their cleaning area at Warriner Hall on CMU’s campus in Mount Pleasant.

They are now including ductwork on the first, second and third floors and the mechanical room in the basement.

The school closed the building in late May when air samples taken came back with evidence of asbestos.

No reopening day has been set.
