Swimming Advisory Issued at Four Beaches Along Lake Erie
One downstate health department is warning swimmers against full body contact at four public beaches along Lake Erie.
It comes after surface water samples at Estral Beach, Woodland Beach, Pointe Aux Peaux and Bolles Harbor near Monroe showed high levels of the E. coli bacteria.
The advisory is expected to last until results from next weeks water tests are available.
Beach water tests for E. coli are done from mid-May through early September.
