Cheboygan County Man Dies in Logging Accident
A Northern Michigan man is dead after a Monday logging accident.
It happened Monday night just before 8:00 in Cheboygan County’s Benton Township.
When deputies arrived at the house, they found Zachary Trost unresponsive.
They say Trost was operating a logging clam when the clam’s boom hit a tree.
That caused two dead branches to fall and hit him.
They believe he died instantly.
