Crews Working To Cleanup Oil Spill in Downstate River
An oil spill flowed into Michigan waters Tuesday.
Workers are cleaning up a petroleum-based spill into the Clinton River downstate.
Already, the spill has spread from Rochester Hills to Pontiac in Oakland County.
It was first cited in Auburn Hills.
Environmental Protection Agency officials are on the scene.
And they say there is between 500 and 1,200 gallons of oil in the river.
The state says drinking water is not affected.
