Snyder Outlines Steps to Improve State’s Criminal Justice System

Governor Rick Snyder is calling for change in the state’s criminal justice system.

He outlined steps Monday to improve police-community relations, provide better notification for victims and share ideas for inmates and parolees.

Governor Snyder wants to create more flexible ways to contact victims when there are updates in their case, and find other ways to deliver personal protective orders.

He also proposed giving prison inmates job training before their release.
