Locks Removed From Famous Paris Bridge
The famous Lock Bridge in Paris will be no more.
Tens of thousands of “love-locks” are being cut away from the Pont Des Arts footbridge in Paris Monday.
The decision to remove the locks came after a section of the bridge collapsed last year.
Workers will encase the bridge’s railing in glass to prevent locks from returning.
It has been a tradition for lovers to put locks on the bridge and throw the keys in the river since 2008.
