Organizers Trying to Repeal Michigan Wage Law Look For Petition Approval

Organizers who want to repeal Michigan’s wage law are looking to get approval for their petition before getting signatures.

The group, Protecting Michigan Taxpayers, has support from a construction trade organization.

They will go before the board of state canvassers later today.

Their goal is to repeal Michigan’s law requiring workers on state-financed construction projects to be paid union scale wages.

Before the bill gets to the legislature — it needs more than 250,000 signatures.
