Local Veterans Take Part in Cadillac’s Memorial Day Parade

Following Cadillac’s Wreath Ceremony, the streets flooded with people for the annual Memorial Day parade.

Organizers invited veterans and their families to walk in the parade, honoring those who have served our country in the past or are serving now.

“What I liked was were so many people at the parade and waving flags and having their children see what this means. They don’t understand now but they will if they keep doing this.”

The parade featured a 1895 horse-drawn funeral hearse with a flag-draped casket.

Organizers say every year they’ve held the parade, the number of veterans who take part grows.
