Jack’s Journal: Singing Lessons Part Four

They say anyone can sing. I set out to see if it’s true.

Now after just four lessons, it’s show time. Ron Gentry, NMC voice coach was attempting the impossible, so how’d I do?

"Really good, your voice was never the issue," said Ron. "It’s more of getting the right key and trying not to whack those high notes."

And whack them I did. For Memorial Day, I  chose America The Beautiful over My Country Tis of Thee, because it was more familiar to me. My question to Ron is what is the big issue you, the viewer, should be looking for in my performance? What are the signs of trouble?

"The biggest thing for you is remembering to breath," answered Ron.
