President Obama Meets With Gulf Nation Leaders About Iran Nuclear Deal
President Obama says leaders of Gulf allies agree that a deal to block nuclear weapons from Iran would serve in everyone’s best interests.
The leaders from six Gulf nations and President Obama met yesterday during a rare summit at Camp David.
Gulf nations worry that lifting economic sanctions on Iran to curb its nuclear program will cause Iran to behave more aggressively in the region.
But President Obama says the region will still face threats regardless of whether a deal is reached by the June 30th deadline.
He says both the U.S. and Gulf nations promised to work together to address the threats.
