Feedback at 5:00: Jeb Bush on Invading Iraq
The war in Iraq, something that defined George W. Bush’s presidency, is back as Americans look towards the 2016 presidential election.
But it’s creating a problem for the former president’s brother, Jeb Bush.
It started on Monday, when the former Florida governor said he would have invaded Iraq.
But on Wednesday, he said he would have done things differently.
And yesterday, he gave another answer, marking his fifth and, so far, final one.
“If we’re all supposed to answer hypothetical questions, knowing what we know now, what would you have done? I would have not engaged. I would not have gone into Iraq,” said Jeb Bush.
The situation raises an interesting question as Bush contemplates running for president in 2016.
While some experts say its an obvious question to ask, others say its not really fair to compare the two.
So for tonight’s Feedback at 5:00, we want to know if you think it was fair to ask this question.
Why or why not?
