Tiffany Ferguson Memorial Race Happening Saturday

Runners will help raise money for a Kalkaska family who suffered a painful loss last year.

Tiffany Ferguson and her father, James Webber were killed last November.

Tiffany’s estranged husband, Keith Ferguson was sent to prison for life, convicted in their murders.

It’s left the four Ferguson children without their parents.

Tiffany’s mother, Shirley Webber is now caring for the children.

Saturday in Kalkaska, a memorial run to help Shirley and the kids.

Crews started setting up for the race Friday.

More than 600 people are registered for the 5K.

Those who knew Tiffany say running made her feel free.

“I was so honored and blessed to have ran Tiffany’s first half marathon with her last fall. Now, we want to celebrate her,” said Katie DuCharme, race director. “It’s great to see all the love that’s poured out by this community and all the love for her.”

The race begins at eight o’clock at the Kalkaska High School track.

Organizers plan to make this an annual event.
