NAHL’s Soo Eagles leave Sault Ste Marie

The NAHL announced today that the Soo Eagles hockey franchise will leave Sault Ste Marie, Michigan and move to Middletown, New Jersey for the 2015-16 season.

The franchise will now be known as the New Jersey Titans.

Principal owner and governor of the Eagles Ron Lavin said in a press release that they hope to continue to have a junior hockey team in Sault Ste Marie with the name “Soo Eagles” but that it would be in a different Canadian junior hockey league.
