TC Residents Invited to Share Views on Proposed Budget at Public Hearing

The people of Traverse City can share their views on next year’s budget tonight.

There is a public hearing at the city commissioners meeting tonight at 7 p.m. at the Governmental Center.

This is for the proposed 2015-16 fiscal year budget.

There aren’t many changes from last year’s budget and no major rate increases.

But tonight, a couple of community members asked for some things to be added.

“I’m just here to encourage you tonight in your discussion funding for the West Boardman Lake Trail. I think it’s a great opportunity. 8th street corridor would be the same and I think both of these projects put forward a good foot to move off our plans and step into implementation.”

Again, this is a proposed budget and commissioners will continue to finalize it this Spring.
