Two Hostages Killed in U.S. Drone Strikes

Two hostages were killed in American drone strikes in the Middle East.

President Obama is taking full responsibility.

The Obama Administration announced Thursday that a U.S. drone strike accidentally killed the hostages being held by Al Qaeda, including one American.

The American hostage was Warren Weinstein, an international development worker who was kidnapped in 2011.

The other hostage was an Italian man named Giovanni Lo Porto.

The president held a news conference Thursday morning to discuss the situation and said he regrets the death of both men.
