Alaska Airlines Worker Becomes Trapped in Cargo Hold, Captain Makes Emergency Landing

Alaska Airlines says a Los Angeles bound flight returned to Seattle after a worker became trapped in the plane’s cargo hold.

Right after takeoff yesterday afternoon, the pilot heard banging from below.

The airline said the captain returned immediately to Seattle-Tacoma International Airport and declared an emergency for priority landing.

Both the captain and passengers heard him making noises from below the plane.

The worker said he had fallen asleep.

He went to the hospital as a precaution but appeared to be ok.

Alaska Airlines says it’s investigating the incident.
