Feedback at 5:00: U-M Showing American Sniper

The University of Michigan recently reversed a decision to show the movie American Sniper on campus.

But it’s the fact that the school canceled the screening in the first place that isn’t sitting well with some.

It all started Tuesday when the university said it would not show the movie.

That decision came after petitions from the Muslim Student Association claiming the movie portrays Arabs and those in the Middle East in a bad light.

But others say that’s not what the movie is about.

They argue the movie is about an American hero and the struggles he went through.

And on Wednesday night — another change.

U of M announced it would show the movie at its original time and place.

For tonight’s Feedback, we asked what you think — show the movie, or not? Why?
