West Front Street Reconstruction Project Receives Final Approval

City commissioners visited one more item on their agenda, the multi-million dollar reconstruction project of West Front Street near downtown Traverse City.

The board discussed the final approval of the project — which is projected to cost between 2.3 and 2.5 million dollars.

The project also calls for a traffic light at the intersection of Wadsworth and West Front Street — an addition that costs around $40,000.

The approval means the construction can begin this month.

Commissioners hope the estimated completion date will be before the first of July.
