Shooting at NSA Gate in Fort Meade

A shooting at the gates of the National Security Agency campus in Maryland left one man dead and another injured Monday.

Two men dressed as women tried to enter the NSA campus at Fort Meade without permission Monday morning.

An agency officer gave the driver directions on how to exit the campus, but the driver disobeyed and barriers were deployed.

The driver then accelerated toward an NSA police vehicle blocking the road.

That’s when police opened fire on their SUV to try to get them to stop.

One of the people in the unauthorized vehicle died at the scene.

Police found a small amount of cocaine in the vehicle.
