Gov. Snyder Uses Pardon Power for Detroit Lawyer

Governor Rick Snyder used his pardon power to clear drunk driving convictions of a Detroit-area lawyer on the state economic board.

Snyder does know lawyer Alan Gocha, Jr. but says the two never discussed the pardon.

The governor said the pardon comes after recommendations of the state parole board.

Gocha pleaded guilty to driving while impaired back in 2008.

This is the 11th pardon from the governor since his election in 2010.
