Detroit Tanker Truck Fire Shuts Down Stretch of I-94

The fire responsible for shutting down a stretch of Interstate 94 is no longer burning.

This was the scene Wednesday as a tanker truck, believed to be carrying petroleum, burned in the eastbound lanes.

It happened near the border between Detroit and Dearborn.

Tonight, the Department of Transportation says drivers should avoid the area.

State police say no injuries have been reported.

The cause of the fire is unknown.
