NFL QB Kirk Cousins talks in Mt. Pleasant

NFL Quarterback Kirk Cousins made an appearance in Mt. Pleasant Wednesday.  The Washington Redskin talked about leadership and influence at the Comfort Inn Conference Center.

However, he is still probably best known in Michigan for his success as a quarterback at Michigan State.

Cousins says the knowledge he gained in East Lansing is what he enjoys passing on to others at events like this.

“I’ve had a unique experience, playing quarterback at Michigan State, and now playing quarterback in the NFL,” Cousins said.  “It’s not something that everyone gets to do, I feel like I’m living a dream, and along the way I’ve learned a lot about life, and what it means to be a leader.  So, I wanted to share some of that today with the people of this area, and hopefully it’s well-received.”

Mercantile Bank called the event “Developing Game Changers” which is a play on the book Game Changer that Cousins released in 2013.
