National Guard Military Police Train Through Frigid Temps

While most people are hunkering down, Michigan National Guard soldiers are toughing it out.

Right now hundreds of soldiers in the 210th Military Police Battalion are learning survival strategies in the cold weather at Camp Grayling.

Braving the negative degree temperatures, the troops are going through their annual two week training, only this time in the winter.

They are training to see how their tools, tactics and weapons work in the extreme cold as well as how they can handle it themselves.

9&10’s Eric Lloyd and photojournalist Melvin Kimbrough visited the base today and have more details.
