Michigan Self-Serve Alcohol Law Proposed
Self-serve beer and wine could become a reality for Michigan bars and restaurants.
The Detroit News reports a rule change proposed by the State Liquor Control Commission would let Michigan join other states that allow such sales.
The proposal comes after a push by the commission to update regulations that date back to the post-prohibition era.
While many support the change, some fear the self-serve options could lead to more underage drinking and alcoholism.
