January Jobs Report Shows Economy Progress
The January jobs report released Friday morning shows more progress for the economy.
The Labor Department says 257,000 jobs were added in January.
Wages are also rising — up 12 cents to more than $24 an hour on average.
And more encouraging news, job gains for November and December were revised up by more than 147,000.
The unemployment rate did increase by .1 percent to 5.7, because more Americans are going out to look for a job.
