Ferris and LSSU Men’s Basketball Chasing GLIAC Title

On Saturday Lake Superior State ended Ferris State‘s 11-0 GLIAC start. Tonight, the Bulldogs looked to regroup in conference play hosting the Chargers.

After the first 20 minutes of play, Ferris State led 34-31. However, once the second half started, Hillsdale knotted the game at 65, forcing overtime.  

The Bulldogs scored first in OT and continued to tack on the points, winning 85-78. On Saturday Ferris State will head to Saginaw Valley State, hoping to take home the outright GLIAC lead.

Up North, Lake Superior State, sits one spot behind in the GLIAC standings. Tonight the Lakers headed to Northern Michigan for a game against the Wildcats.

LSSU trailed by 4 at the half before dominated in the second. This evening’s 60-48 victory continues the Lakers 4 game win streak, as they now prepare for Michigan Tech Saturday at 3 p.m.  

While in Women’s hoops, the Lady Lakers were unable to snap their losing streak, falling 69-64 to the Wildcats.

Ending at Ferris State, the Lady Bulldogs cut an early first half deficit, but couldn’t take the lead after intermission, as they lose 68-55 against Hillsdale.
