Nine and ten news continues to follow developments in a deadly crash in Leelanau County.

It happened at the intersection of Bodus and Schomberg Roads on August 23rd.

Police say a 16-year-old driver slammed into Brian Nachazel’s truck.

Nachazel died at the scene.

Drake Hendershot, a passenger in the teen’s car, died later from his injuries.

On Wednesday, the teen driver pleaded not guilty to three counts of reckless driving in family court.

The prosecutor is still trying to decide if the now 17-year-old should be charged as an adult.
