Upper Peninsula Man Faces Federal Sex Abuse Charges

An upper peninsula man faces federal sex abuse charges that could put him in prison for life.

A federal grand jury has charged Tommy Cain with several sexual abuse counts for what he’s accused of doing to a young victim on tribal land in Sault Ste. Marie.

The FBI arrested Cain Sunday in Battle Creek.

The government says Cain had sexual contact with a minor over the course of four years starting in 2007.

The five counts of sexual abuse by threat carry a maximum life sentence if Cain is convicted.
