Polls Slow for Dover Township in Lake County
Polling places in many areas in Northern Michigan were slow for the primary election on Tuesday.
In Dover Twp. in Lake County, they saw few people make their way to the polls.
According to Township Clerk Barbara Kemp, there wasn’t much interest in this election in their area.
The township only had two proposals on the ballot and no head to head races.
Kemp says she didn’t even receive any requests for absentee ballots, which was a first.
9&10’s Breelynn Martin and Photojournalist Melvin Kimbrough spoke to the clerk about the election.
