Harbor Days Benefits The Community
Nearly sixty years and still going strong, a popular Northern Michigan festival is drawing in the crowds.
The 59th Elk Rapids Harbor Days in Antrim County has brought in thousands of people over the past few days.
The festival is filled with food, entertainment and events for the whole family.
The four day event kicked off Wednesday and runs through Saturday evening.
One organizer says the festival not only brings in people from all over, but allows local groups to host their own events.
“Groups in the community and schools need to do all the charitable things they can throughout the year and this gives them a chance to do so,” said Chuck Grinnell, Harbor Days Director. “Every dollar that is spent here, stays right in the community.”
