Investigators Reach MH 17 Crash Site

Its been almost two weeks since Malaysia Airlines Flight 17 was shot from the sky in eastern Ukraine.

Thanks to a one-day cease fire, investigators from the Netherlands and Australia have reached the crash site, and are examining the wreckage.

The debris is scattered across a wide area, and some has not been looked through at all because fighting in the area kept recovery efforts at bay.

“There is one big site that still has not been scoured, the chicken farm, where there is debris and possibly human remains. Every day that goes by is another day lost in terms of possible human remains and of really crucial evidence,” said Michael Bociurkiw, spokesman for Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe.

Earlier this week, President Obama announced the U.S. and European Union will enforce new sanctions against Russia for violence in Ukraine.
