Hook & Hunting: Deer Management Seminars Planned This Weekend

From waterfowl to deer hunting, the Quality Deer Management Association of Cadillac is holding ‘Habitat Day’ this weekend, inviting people to learn more about how to help deer habitats thrive year-round.

With the help of seminars and habitat tours with professional wildlife experts, the DNR and the NRC, the agency hopes to teach the public about how to keep deer population alive before hunting season starts up in full.

“Come out and learn about habitat,” said Tim Liponaga, who founded the QDMA branch located in the Cadillac area. “Learn what you can do in your own backyard to help the deer get through the winters. That’s one of the most crucial times is after that thaw for those deer to survive.”

Habitat Day is scheduled for this Saturday at 11 a.m. in Tustin.
