Osceola County EMS Debate May End With Millage Vote
People living in the northern half of Osceola County have long worried about response times for emergencies.
The county has worked to improve their service as best as they can.
The new millage proposal would increase the osceola county EMS budget and build a new station in Tustin.
Since 2005 the amount of calls for service in Osceola County has jumped 27% while expenses for the department have gone up 30%.
Because of this, the EMS need more money with or without the new Tustin garage but feel coverage in all four corners would be best in the long run for the county.
9&10’s Eric Lloyd and photojournalist Jacob Johnson looked into the impact on the county and have more details.
