Great Weather Helps Amp up Good Golfing Season

Green grass and perfect golfing conditions has amped up this year’s season at one Northern Michigan course.

Even after a later start than usual, Crystal Mountain is seeing a large group of golfers each day. Crystal Mountain says after a strong ski season they were wondering what their golf season was going to be like.

After the sun finally came out and dried things up, golfers hit the courses hard and in full force. The resort says the rain has been coming at the right times and not screwing up a strong season.

“We did get a little bit of a later start this year and maybe that’s part of the reason that we’ve seen so many people come out and play over the course of late May, June, and into July,” says Brian Lawson, director of public relations at Crystal Mountain.

Even with the late start, the resort says they are hitting their goals and bringing in more people than last year at this time.
