Downtown Grayling Gets Visitor Boost During Soldier Training, Canoe Marathon
An influx of soldiers, athletes, and tourists are giving one Northern Michigan community a needed business boost.
Between National Guard Training at Camp Grayling and the Annual AuSable River Canoe Marathon just days away, Grayling is growing busier by the hour.
Dawson and Steven’s Classic Diner in downtown Grayling says that they, along with the rest of the community, are excited to see so many new faces in town.
“It’s wonderful. We are fully staffed, so that we can accommodate as many people as we can fit in here at one time. And it’s just a lot of fun. You know, it’s a lot of fun to see the new faces and to be a part of this whole community and what’s going on here,” said Dawson and Stevens Museum Curator Marianne McEvoy.
We will bring you continuing coverage on the 67th Annual AuSable River Canoe Marathon throughout the week.
