Youth get a chance to compete at The Masters

 GAYLORD – Someone from Northern Michigan could compete at Augusta National during the 2015 Masters.

The PGA of America organizes a “Drive, Chip and Putt Championship,” which is a play off the NFL’s “Punt, Pass and Kick Competition.”

Katke Golf Course in Big Rapids hosted a Regional Tournament Saturday.  Treetops hosted a tournament Tuesday.

Golfers are still two tournaments away from advancing to Augusta National April 5th, which is the Sunday before the Masters starts.

Next up for the top three competitors from the Regional Tournament is a State Tournament August 23rd at Binder Park in Battle Creek.
