West Branch Man Leads Police on Chase Through Mt. Pleasant

Police are planning to arrest a man for domestic violence and running from police.

Police in Mt. Pleasant say a West Branch man ran from them Saturday night after they stopped his car for a potential abuse situation.

The man took off, leading police on a chase reaching speeds of 75 MPH. He lost control of his vehicle and hit a parked truck and house at the intersection of Bluegrass and Isabella roads before police caught him.

The man was taken to the hospital for treatment and police expect to arrest him once he is released.
