Police Look for Motive Behind Murder for Hire Attempt
Police have yet to interview Clarence Gomery about his motives but they believe the reason for the murder plan stems from a lawsuit between Gomery and Christopher Cooke this past year.
Cooke represented a complainant in a civil suit against Gomery over this plot of land, the old Mitchell Creek Golf Club.
A jury decided Gomery fraudulently took a majority stake in the property after the other man paid for the property in full.
The result of the suit forced Gomery to file for bankruptcy.
