Clean Up Begins After National Cherry Festival
Hundreds of people pitched in today to help Cherry Festival organizers clean up after a big week of fun and excitement, including an extensive beach clean-up.
Following last night’s end-of-festival fireworks, volunteers for the National Cherry Festival starting working immediately to bring the Festival Open Space Park and beach back to normal.
Hundreds of volunteers took part in the clean-up this morning, adding to the more than 2,000 volunteers that lent a hand during the week’s festivities.
9&10’s Cody Boyer went to the park there to check out the clean-up of one of Northern Michigan’s biggest events.
